Bulk Registration is currently available for a limited number of hardware platforms.

Bulk registration requires a hardware ID and registration key for each device ahead of time. As defined in the weavedconnectd 1.3-07z1 package for Pi, the hardware ID is derived from the wlan0 MAC and the registration key is derived from the eth0 MAC.
Start Here: Download the CSV template file "Sample_CSV_for_remote.it_Bulk_Registration.csv" attached below.
- The CSV template file is shown below. There are 13 columns defined in the CSV, each with its own column heading in row 1 and a sample value in row 2. Open the file in Microsoft Excel. You can also use a raw text editor, although it will not organize the information in nice rows and columns and always save as file type CSV.
Edit the CSV starting in row 2 to add the devices for bulk registration. Do not make any edits to row 1 (column headings) and always save this file as type "CSV" or it will not be recognized by the remote.it system.
Column A contains the REGISTRATION_KEY for the device being registered. In the sample CSV we are using a dummy ethernet MAC address (00:F1:23:45:67:89) representing the device eth0 interface with the colons removed. The values in column A are case sensitive and must be 12-digits, no colons, spaces, or other special characters. The valid characters for REGISTRATION_KEY are a-z, A-Z, and 0-9. Use leading zeros (or any valid character) if the REGISTRATION_KEY used in your application is fewer than 12-digits. The REGISTRATION_KEY value cannot be left blank and must be a value that the device can access on its own when booting in the field (such as an interface MAC address or serial number stored in ROM). The REGISTRATION_KEY does not need to be unique across devices or accounts. For example, the same REGISTRATION_KEY could be used to Bulk Register any number of devices.
Column B contains the HARDWARE_ID field for the device being registered. In this example we are using a dummy Wi-Fi MAC address (AA:98:76:54:32:10) from the device wlan0 interface with the colons removed. The values in Column B are case sensitive and must be 12-digits, no colons, spaces, or other special characters. The valid characters for HARDWARE_ID are a-z, A-Z, and 0-9. Use leading zeros (or any valid character) if the HARDWARE_ID used in your application is fewer than 12-digits. The values entered in Column B must be unique in the remote.it system. The HARDWARE_ID value cannot be left blank and must be a value that the device can access on its own when booting in the field (such as an interface MAC address or serial number stored in ROM).
Column C contains the DEVICE_NAME value. In this example we are using the arbitrary device name "My_Device_001" The DEVICE_NAME field can contain the following characters: a-z, A-Z, 0-9, and -_ and " " (space, no quotes). No other special characters are supported in the DEVICE_NAME field. The DEVICE_NAME value cannot be left blank and must be unique across all devices in a single remote.it account.
Columns D-M are required in the CSV. Any values in the CSV columns D-M are used to populate the Category A-J columns (respectively) in the remote.it portal. By default only the first three Category columns (Category A-C) are displayed in the remote.it portal. The CSV file columns D-M may be left blank or they may contain a value with characters a-z, A-Z, 0-9, " " (space, no quotes), or - _ .
Point a Browser* (do not use Microsoft Internet Explorer. For a list of supported browsers see the bottom of this page) to https://www.remote.it. Sign In to the account you would like to Bulk Register devices. If you do not already have a remote.it account you can create one at https://www.remote.it.
Complete all 5 steps below to Bulk Register your Devices

On the Left Nav area click the menu item "Register Devices" as shown below.

Click the Upload button and Browse to the CSV file you wish to upload. Select the file and click Upload in the dialogue box as shown.

After the CSV is uploaded click the gear icon and select the menu item ARM Standard Kit or CAP 2.0 (x86) depending on your device hardware and click the Submit button.

The bulk registration will now be in the "configured" state as shown below. The configured state means the CSV upload was successful, and the devices in this bulk registration operation (i.e. devices in the uploaded CSV) are ready to activate in the account. In the configured state, devices will not appear in the remote.it portal, until the group is "published" in Step 5. See screen shot below.

Click the publish icon in order to activate the devices into the account, so they will begin to appear in the remote.it portal. After the list is published the devices will begin to appear in the remote.it portal. Check the Manage Devices view to observe bulk registered devices appear one-by-one until the entire list is provisioned to the user's account.
Note when all devices in the CSV have been uploaded and registered in the account the Status column in the Register Devices view will display the "preregistered" state.
After the "publish" operation the devices in the uploaded CSV will appear as "preregistered" in the remote.it portal Manage Devices view. The devices will appear as offline until they are powered up in the field, with an Internet connection, and successfully report back to the remote.it cloud with a valid REGISTRATION_KEY and HARDWARE_ID that matches a device in the remote.it database. See example below.
remote.it supports latest versions of web browsers Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. remote.it does not support Microsoft Internet Explorer or other browser versions older than one year.
