This page will guide you through the installation of Weaved's Fleet Management tool "remot3.it" on your Pi. Use remot3.it to make secure, private connections to your Pi across the Internet and automate repetitive bulk operations using a "one-to-many" command line interface to 10s, 100s, or 1000s of Pis or other Linux based systems in the field.

Follow these instructions if you already have a Pi with one or more services registered at Weaved.com. This page will guide you how to update your Pi for use with Weaved's new Fleet Management portal "remot3.it".
Use these instructions ONLY when you have physical access to the Pi via a LAN connection (Wi-Fi or ethernet). Or use a USB (...or bluetooth) keyboard+mouse and HDMI monitor.
If you need to update a remote Pi, over the Internet on a different network, using a Weaved ssh connection then click here for special instructions.
If you are starting out with a fresh Pi, with no pre-existing Weaved services installed, then click here.
Note: After completing these instructions your Pi will still be available at Weaved.com. In addition, your Pi and all its existing services will also become available at https://www.remot3.it.

Open up a command line on your Pi using either a keyboard+HDMI monitor or an ssh connection over a Wi-Fi or ethernet LAN.

Update the package list on your Pi so you will get the latest version of the weavedconnectd package
> sudo apt-get update

Download and install the weavedconnectd deb package that includes support for remot3.it by entering the following command.
> sudo apt-get install weavedconnectd

Run weavedinstaller from the command line.
Use the on-screen Sign In Menu (shown below) to Sign In to your remot3.it account by entering "1" at the prompt. Use your pre-existing Weaved account email and password to Sign In to remot3.it.
Next, when prompted to enter a device name, give your Pi a device name (ex. my_Pi_001 ) as shown below. The device name entered will be displayed in the remot3.it portal. You can edit the device name later at any time. Type in a name and press Enter, then let the installer finish and return to the prompt. Then Exit the interactive menu installer by entering "4". (menu item 4).
EXPERT TIP: If you wait patiently for 2 minutes and refresh the browser using "Shift+reload" ... and your Pi still doesn't show up in remot3.it. Then just sign out of remot3.it and then sign back in.
Click on the Pi device name you entered in Step 5 to connect.
